There are two primary types of jig saw blade  ƒTool-free blade change
shanks used:  ƒRoller support guide
T-shank blades feature a T-shaped shank  ƒLock-on button
that is typically held in place by a vertical
screw mechanism, this system is also  ƒAnti-scratch base cover (TH 70E)
suitable for machines with quick change  ƒErgonomic soft-grip handle
blade systems.  ƒTransparent blade guard
U-shank blades are sometimes called  ƒAdjustable base, 0°/15°/30°/45° bevel left or right
"universal" shanks and feature a U-shaped  ƒDust extraction adapter
cutout at the base of the shank, which permits
the blade to remain in place with a horizontal  ƒFront LED work light (TH 70E)
